MORE ABOUT MYSELF...
 
I was born in Metz (Mossel) in 1949 as the fourth child of the family. My father was an agronomist engineer and I spent my early years in Amsterdam, Holland.
 
Then, I lived a quiet childhood in “Villeneuve-les-Avignon”, a city close to Aix-en-Provence where my mother comes from. Part of her family has been living for a while in Tunis. The Dumergue o Doumergue family is quoted in memoirs about Tunisia since 1800, long before the French Protectorate. From there comes my attractiveness for that country, its street scenes, its mausoleums which were a source of inspiration for my wash-drawings.
 
My mother’s grandfather, who happened to be a student in Aix-en-Provence, met with Cezanne, Zola and other french artists but did not made a career as an artist himself.
 
My love for creation genes comes rather from my father, as a dictionary of names quotes Sarazin o Sarrazin as artists since many centuries, mainly painters or sculptors working for the kings.
 
Effectively, several members of the Sarazin family are still actually painters and proud to be !
 
Before I passed my “baccalaureat » (the French certificate of education), I never had a chance to attend painting courses. I was oriented towards a medical career to become a biologist /chemist in Marseille. However, I managed to get a paint box from my mother, my wishes were already there !

I was an intern in pharmacy at the Marseille Hospitals in 1970 and got my degree as a Pharmacist in 1972. Then, I succeeded getting in 1975 the various specific certificates to work as a Biologist… while giving birth to my first masterpiece, my eldest daughter.

I opened my first laboratory in La-Teste-de-Buch, near Arcachon, south west of France, in 1977 and gave birth to my second masterpiece : my second daughter.
 
This lab was doing well, but the course of events lead me to sell it in 1994 and I opened another one in Saint-Pee-sur-Nivelle in this so attractive french Basque Country. Frontier Spain France.
 
I would have loved to switch to “Travel medicine” another branch within the health profession. Ihave been graduated with the “Traveller's health, Travel medicine University diploma” of Xavier Bichat hospital in Paris.
Unfornunately it proved to be impossible to practice.
An humanitarian travel in Africa during1998 gave me an illness very serious : the TOXOCAROSIS.Almost unknown by doctors, I suffered 13 years whithout diagnostic or treatement.
I had to close this second laboratory, I had opened.

To avoid falling in a state of deep surliness, I attend my first drawing and painting courses in 2004 and I became quickly very enthusiastic. Since 2005 I enlisted to the BAB Art School (BAB stands for : Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz), France, and M. Berthommé, director, foster my efforts to carry on with a comprehensive training within that very school. Until 2017. Hoy : ESAPB ESA Pays basque.
 
I thank the teachers who have been patient enough to offer me their knowledge.

M. Dominique Berthommé, Director of the Art School, through his pedagogic and human talent, has the tremendous gift to get the best of you. I very sincerely thank him for that.
 
Art History and the life of the artists are a passion for me and I keep discovering the world of exhibitions and museums.
 
With the help of my scientific background, I enjoy experimenting new means, new materials, new surfaces. In this field, I am at ease but I want however to reach more freedom and mastery in painting experience and in so doing move away from the “biological stiffness” whose boundary is a limit for me. I am looking seriously into that !
 
Since 2007, I discovered oil painting. It is a difficult technique which however brings me a strong and sensual pleasure, I have the feeling to get closer and closer to the older children's playground.
I know business success is rewarding but, if alone, it’s not what I am looking for.
However, as I miss my family, my friends, my far reached connection, it was the appropriate time for me to create this site displaying my works already sold, offered, or available for sale and my coming exhibitions to be held.
In 2009  I went to learn to paint in  San Sebastien with J. Berozpe.

In 2010 I begin learning sculpture in the same school / ESAPB. Its a great ans nice pleasure : to realize the sculpture in clay of models in life. A foundry in Spain made bronzes with numeros as the ley want it, from some of theim. In 2023 I'll have 8 models.
I can also give to do theim on command, from the fotos of clay's sculptures in the foundry.  

In 2017 I removed in Madrid, Spain.  I live, now,  in this marvellous capital, and here I developpe more my Art. Near the greatest museums and whith this particular, fenomenal cultural ambient. I live and I work there in a studio. In the same time, I can go on the fight I manage against the mondial epidemia de TOXOCAROSIS.This illness, almost unknown, give damages very serious.

Winter 2017 2018 : I followed in the famous University of "Bellas Artes" Moncloa, 2nd year of  Grado (License) section DRAWING. Whith succesfull.
Winter 2018 2019, in the "Circulo de Bellas Artes" I am begining whith work of the "living models". State of Associate Member. A remarkable edifice, Center of Protecion de "Bellas Artes " and "of utility public" since 1921. Worth architectural incredible.In center town.
Also Associate, this year, member of "Elena Friends" o "Feel and Flow", Moratin street, an Artist's collective. Finished by the pandemia Covid 19.
And also, I followed in the University of Bellas Artes Moncloa, 2nd year of Grado (License) section SCULPTURE. Whith succesfull.

Then, I followed in the "Circulo de Bellas Artes" Madrid centertown, whith paintings and engraving (y during pandemia Covid 19 whith drawings by informatic work).

 Instagram : " genovevasarazin " I am working with posts of my Art since may of 2022 and I yet explained why I am Artist "today", because I was Biologist " yesterday".
  I work with Instagram posting during six first monthes my prefered themes, explications of my change status etc, and since novembre 2022 I post my Art tidied by themes.
